Hi Experts.
I have to take local and remote server backups through ignite software.
When i tried to take backup on local machine,the error message received as given below.
In my server only one VG(vg00)is available and same suggest to take backup?
bdf out put.

Is there any problem with the syntax?
Command excecuted:

make_tape_recovery -I -v -x inc_entire=/dev/vg00 -a /dev/rmt/omn
Is there any space limitation for the above command?

The command syntax is OK, *BUT* I it looks like you typed an "o" [the letter] when you should have typed a "0" [the number, zero]. A mistake like that could fill your '/dev' filesystem.
Besides that, if you continue to have problems, post:
# uname -a
...so that we can see your machine type and operating system level. Post too, the version of Ignite that you are using:
# swlist -l fileset|grep -i ignite

To restore using Omni back , you have to use the GUI window of DP and you can restore it.
