Ignite Backup?
We have HP Integrity rx2660 server, I want to know about ignite backup.
What is ignite backup?
How to run ignite backup?
how to check whether the ignite backup software is installed on my server?
If it not how to install it?
Its a free software or have to buy?
Thanks and Regards,

Re: Ignite Backup?
Make sure you realize that ignite is only meant to backup the kernel and you need some other software (fbackup, DP, etc) to backup your user data.

Re: Ignite Backup?
make_net_recovery (see man page for syntax)
make_tape_recovery (see man page for syntax)
Those are your primary tools for creating Ignite backups. In general Ignite is installed unless someone ripped it out.
swlist -l product | grep -i ignite
# Displays installed ignite software.
You can get a new version of Ignite free from http://software.hp.com Search for Ignite.
Once downloaded you install as follows:
swinstall -s
Lets say Ignite is downloaded to /tmp
swinstall -s /tmp/Ignite.depot \*
Use the actual name not Ignite.depot
