Hi,

Can you pls tell me how to take ignite backup for the B2600 and B180L station.

The same way you do for other systems.

If you are backing up to tape you use the make_tape_recovery command.

If you are backing up to an Ignite server you use the make_net_recovery command.

I would start with the version of HP-UX you are using. If it is recent (11-something), you use the make_tape_recovery command. Like every command in HP-UX, there is a man page to help but you should also download and print the Ignite manual:

A getting-started command line would be:

make_tape_recovery -I -v -x inc_entire=vg00 -a /dev/rmt/0mn

where 0mn is changed to match your tape drive.
