Ignite boot helper CD

Hi,

i've got a little problem.
A stand-alone server with no direct connection to any other HPUX servers.

Is it possible to create a Boot-Helper CD ?
( Burning the kernel of Ignite on CD )

I hope somebody could help me & excuse my terrible English ;-)))

I think you can use the OS CD to boot and then choose something like "install from network". However, write down the IP's of target, gateway and your Ignite server.

Re: Ignite boot helper CD

If all you want is a CD to boot the system to the stage where you can specify network info and information about the Ignite server... all you have to do is:
1. run the following command:
make_medialif -m -l ./my_lif

2. burn directly onto CD

good luck!

btw... if you have a tape drive and can't be bothered burning a CD, use make_boot_tape.
