Ignite compatibility questions

All of my current network is using Ignite C.7.2.94 and I use make_net_recovery to create Ignite images which are stored on my server.

I now have a new machine that has Ignite C.7.11.439 and when I tried to create an Ignite image over the network, it complained that the image on the server was older and that I'd either need to upgrade the version on the server or downgrade the version on my new machine.

I'd quite like to upgrade the version on the server, but I'm worried that all of my existing images won't be restorable since they would have been made with a version of Ignite older than would be on the server.

Can anybody explain the compatibility issues? (A web link to an HP page would be even better).

Thanks,

Gary

Re: Ignite compatibility questions

Even though I do not think so, you will have a problem when upgrading , (I did it some time ago and had no problem ,but I do not remember the releases I played)
