Ignite error message

When I do a make_tape_recovery -Av -a /dev/rmt/4mn
I get the following error message:

* Checking Versions of Ignite-UX filesets
vxvm:vxprint: ERROR: IPC failure: Configuration daemon is not accessible

It looks like it finished. But not sure.

Seems to be a problem with your veritas daemons.

Thanks,

Re: Ignite error message

Jerry,
did you read my links yet?
"The error simply means that VxVM product is installed but not configured. If you plan to use VxVM then you got to make sure you run "vxinstall".

Otherwise swremove the VxVM fileset/product (HP VERITAS Volume Manager) and make_tape_recovery should then run fine."

Re: Ignite error message

Someone had it installed at one time to
use it but never did. It requires a kernel
rebuild to remove it. I believe it is
just a warning message and does not affect
the creation of the the ignite tape.

Thanks all.
