It was working fine for a long time,
However it happend two days back..
1.please advice me what can be done to sole it.
2.Can I try make_tape_recovery instead of make_recovery?

Re: ignite error

Do you have home directories mounted across NFS? nftw is a function that walks a directory tree, performing a common function on each file it finds. If you are running as root, I am guessing that you are encountering some other NFS-mounted file owned by root. See the discussion of 'root=hostname' in the exports(4) manual page.

Re: ignite error

make_recovery is obsolete and should not be used.

make_tape_recovery should have been used the whole time.

I would suggest upgrading to a version of Ignite that is less than 4 years old at some point.

Re: ignite error

ya. when i list the /opt/ignite/bin got no excutable for "make_recovery".
and

in ignite man pages also, its not there.
Ignite-UX Reference HP-UX 11.0 and 11i
http://docs.hp.com/en/5187-4555/5187-4555.pdf

and this is the list of ignite commands
http://docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90970/ch01s03.html#bgbheifj

since i am new to ignite, i thought that "some product i need to install" like that....

do a long listing of /opt/ignite/bin and check the make_tape_recovery
