ignite hangs during boot process

I have a bl60p that I am trying to install a golden image on. I have 2 disks with nothing on them so they show up as physical disks but no partitions.
Device mapping table
blk0 : Acpi(HWP0002,100)/Pci(1|0)/Scsi(Pun0,Lun0)
blk1 : Acpi(HWP0002,100)/Pci(1|0)/Scsi(Pun1,Lun0)

I setup a dbprofile and ran the following
lanboot -dn test select
I selected the appropriate lan card and selected to install an 11.31 system.
It downloads the initial install file and when it gets to the kernel boot, it hangs.

Current firmware revisions

MP FW : H.03.07
BMC FW : 73.19
EFI FW : 05.41
System FW : 01.70

Any ideas?

what about the server model?.

Check the LAN speed of your Ignite server. It should match with client speed.

Shalom,

Always a good idea to make firmware as current as possible before starting.

From the EFI shell.

help lanboot

You probably need to do lanboot select to get the system to boot off a network card.

Re: ignite hangs during boot process

It's a BL60P in a C3000 chassis.
I am using select, it downloads the initial boot software and then hangs at the boot kernel part. I have left it running for over 12 hours and it doesn't budge from this spot.
here is what I get:

Re: ignite hangs during boot process

I saw postings regarding consoles and followed those processes. I don't believe that the problem is a console issue
I have 2 console definitions:
CONSOLE CONFIGURATION

Index Primary Type Device Path
----- ------- ----- ----------
1 NC Serial Acpi(PNP0501,0)
2 P Serial Acpi(HWP0002,0)/Pci(2|1)

I disabled the first one as when I tried to boot from that console, the system hung at the

Which is what the other forums indicated was a console issue.

Re: ignite hangs during boot process

Is this a working Image ?

I mean did you ever use this Ignite server, to image any other servers?

Could you please check the log files at server.

Re: ignite hangs during boot process

Yes, I use this ignite server all the time to image servers. All I see on the server is the tftpd daemon running and eventually I get a timeout message in the syslog as follows:
Apr 22 16:11:44 flicker tftpd[10111]: Timeout (no requests in 10 minutes)
