Solutiondownload the software from
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=IGNITEUXB
install with swinstall.
swinstall -s /var/tmp/Ignite-UX_All_C.6.8.152.depot \*
insert a new tape in your tape drive.
Run following command to create a backup of vg00.
# make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn

Re: Ignite installation
Make sure you have a good backup *before* you see problems with your disks.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Ignite installation
Its important to understand,
Ignite can not get a clean backup of an open active database that is not in backup mode.
It is also extremely difficult to extract one file from an Ignite backup, though this can be done.
The best approach is as stated, to use Ignite on vg00 and use another professional tool on the rest of the system to insure full coverage.
Ignite is not an upgrade in place product. The old version must be removed prior to installation of the new.
