Ignite issue

Hi,

Ignite is backing up more VG's than then ones that I'm specifying.

I'm running the command to include the VG00, entire ..., but it is also backing up other VG's .
If I try the exclude option it is also backing up the VG's.

I have the lastest Ignite version, anyone know how to fix this issue?

Thank you,

Regards,

Marco

Re: Ignite issue

Shalom,

Lets see the script used or command line.

Then check the log and post us the excerpts that lead you your conclusion.

If your command line is not flawed then you may have found a bug, which you must report with the information I have requested above.

Re: Ignite issue

Here is the correct command:

make_tape_recovery -Iv -x inc_entire=vg00 -a /dev/rmt/-whatever-

Note: do not use -A. This has a very different meaning than the obsolete make_recovery command.

Re: Ignite issue

Could you post the recoverylogs snapshot where you noticed that it is backing up other VGs. Normally it take a backup of the other vgs configuration. Else the command works fine.

Have a closer look on the messages and post them.

Re: Ignite issue

Ignite is working ok now.

Actually I verified the content of the tape and it's ok. I just reconfigured the product.
