Ignite - Make Tape Recovery
Occasionaly, I get this error message when the data on the tape is being verified.
"Verify failed with ERROR 1"
I am running Ignite version A.3.3.116 on HPUX 10.20.
Does someone know the reason for this??
Could it be that the file is in use when the backup occurs & the verify is saying that it's different from when the backup occurred?

Re: Ignite - Make Tape Recovery
At a guess, you could be right. One suggestion, would be load the latest version and see if the problem still appears. The link below suggests that there is a later version even for 10.20

Re: Ignite - Make Tape Recovery
Do you have a file that is over 2 GB? You may be picking up an error because pax won't pack that file.
Almost any error code can generate that error.
If the backup is usable, I'd consider Michael's upgrade recommendation and check into possible error causes such as largefiles if it persists.
