ignite make tape recovery
I am not unix admin, just a person playing that role, temporily. Last week when I asked the question about backing up the system, I was mail bombed with "run make_tape_recovery". Well I did thank god, because low and behold there was a problem. After loading HPUX 11 the system had a panic and would not come up properly. The make_tape_recovery worked great. Thanks to all the replied!!!1

Re: ignite make tape recovery
Hi Jeff:
That's what this formum is all about! We're glad that we could offer some guidance and our collective experience.
Please take the time to review the posts you have made recently along with the very many replies you received and award points to each contribution as you see fit.
Here's the link to the ITRC point system. For any particular post of yours, you may award points in varying amounts to all its responses as appropriate.
The assignment of points serves as a "bread crumb" for someone else later -- a marker made along a path to a solution. Thanks, and good luck in your journey.
