ignite on B.11.23

Quick one here, I hope, I am used to 11 and now dealing with this B.11.23 version.

to make an ignite recovery to tape we used to use make_recovery to the device tape drive.

How do I do it to a dvd drive now? is it the same format just you specify the dvd device, I cant seem to find a specif reference to this, a lot of things I read tend to assume a tape device, or are they assuming tape or dvd just specify the device you want?
thanks

Shalom,

1) make_recovery is deprecated, replaced with make_tape_recovery
2) You can't write directly to a DVD but you can make a system bootable image to DVD, its not a pure ignite procedure.

Re: ignite on B.11.23

Thanks for the info and doc sites.

However after reading much of this, I think I am a bit either overwelmed or confused.

In Ux11 we simply did a make_revoery to /dev/rmt#

Now I have an B.11.23
system and I want to make a bootable dvd recovery for our server. I dont want to do a 2 part using tape and disk, since I dont have an attached tape drive, nor do I have an recovery server to use the net.

I dont mind making an image then making it an iso, which woudl seem like a 2 part, but its not clear to me how to simply make a recovery to dvd withouht using a tape drive or if you run recovery to make an image then another to make the iso?
