Ignite on HP Unix 11.0

When I installed Ignite on my HP-UX system I began having problems with tftp. This became an issue since i also run Ciscoworks/2000 to manage router configs.

Since ciscoworks quit pulling in router changes I had to back off Ignite. The whole issue had to do with an entry ignite puts in the inetd.conf file.

Can someone provide me with a good inetd.conf file that is running Ignite on HP-UX 11.0?

I'd like to install Ignite again...I had it on 10.20 and it was a good tool.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Ignite on HP Unix 11.0

Lane,

The Ignite FAQ says the inetd.conf line should read:
tftp dgram udp wait root /usr/lbin/tftpd tftpd /opt/ignite /var/opt/ignite

You may find further documentation on this in /opt/ignite/share/doc.

Re: Ignite on HP Unix 11.0

Hello,

I'm in the process of downloading the ignite UX code for HP-UX 11.0 to a PC. After doing this I then need to xfer it to my HP-UX server.

I have some ftp software that will ftp the file to my server. My question is this:

the file is a tar file. Do I send the file to the HP machine as ascii or binary?

Thanks for your help
