Ignite restore to differrent h/w
Hi Gurus,
Is it possible to use the ignite image created from a rx7640 vpar to a new HPVm on a BL860 ?
Is it mandatory to have the ignite image source h/w and the Ignite restore client should be the same h/w?
thanks in advance..
Pramod

Re: Ignite restore to differrent h/w
Pramod, there's a good paper from HP on this: http://www.google.be/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CFAQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fbizsupport2.austin.hp.com%2Fbc%2Fdocs%2Fsupport%2FSupportManual%2Fc02542731%2Fc02542731.pdf&ei=GUTYT8XrGY2s-gbsoqWKCA&usg=AFQjCNEtGMm3fS2SHP3FJNlTQnuL1D7Oug&sig2=y-KPMWyqSDe9Lx1BJQrP1w
So, to answer your question: no, the source and target hardware should not be the same. I don't know though if rx76 to blade is possible.
