You also check backup ignite procedure in /var/opt/ignite/logs/makrec.log1 and makrec.log2 to find out it has completed or what problem when it was backing up.

as long as the ignite tape is not corrupted u should be able to boot via ignite. there should be a menu after this...

1, Have you add new disk to server?
2, check boot disk on PDC

When I reboot the server I stop the bootup process. I do a sea ipl and it finds the root disk that I selected. When I 'bo p0' it tries to load then just goes to an ipl prompt.
