SolutionSo, list out information for me based upon master and client beginning with the procedure, or push / pull command. You know you can either push onto or pull onto the client right?
ip
swlist -l fileset | grep -i ignite
from master /etc/exports (* nfs mounted file system for storing archievd images during backup procedure *)
from client /etc/fstab entry for mounting masters nfs file system
(* NOTE: nfs is not going to be used during install beginning with boot up *)

Looks like they should work together. What are the model numbers of your boxes? Anything PA-Risc? Last PA-Risc Ignite is 6.

Re: Ignite Server/Client Version mismatch
swlist -l product | grep -i ignite
if it indicates two version of ignite than you need to remove older one:
swremove -i
to go interactive mode and select what yo├Д┬▒u want to remove there..

Re: Ignite Server/Client Version mismatch
as server from "swlist -l product | grep -i ignite". There is no old version.
It seems that the old version C.7.7.93 was used to build this client before. Where is it and how to update? I wish the error msg
more specfic on how to update...
Both server and client are BL860C blade running hpux 11.31.
Thanks,
Rn

Re: Ignite Server/Client Version mismatch
I made sure there was no client directory
on the server. The client install was a new
HPUX 11.23 install on to HPUX 11.31. Here is the client install.log. Look the beginning of this log. It got the old Ignite version from SOMEWHERE? Where is /branches/IUX_RA... resides?

Re: Ignite Server/Client Version mismatch
/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.23/IINSTALLFS.
This makes sense because during the bootsys,
IINSTALL & IINSTALLFS are copied to the client then expand...
"what IINSTALLFS" showed C.7.7.93. HP's mistake here. HP should either supress the
mismatch error or package the C.7.8.102 in here.
Anyway, the client got new OS installed regardless the error.
Thanks for all the helpful hands.
