And I follow the manuals and do "make_depots" creating a OE depot, does this make it an Ignite Server?
If i dont do "make_depots" can I still make a golden image and apply to the rest of the servers?
Or is it better to create this depot and boot the clients from the Ignite Server?
thanks!

Re: Ignite Server + Golden Image question
You can use golden image and apply to the rest of the server.

Re: Ignite Server + Golden Image question
Or does the Golden Image also contain the OS.
Hardware is the same.

Re: Ignite Server + Golden Image question
To make a golden image server you must swcopy a Core OS cd/DVD into the server. This is mandatory.
Ignite Golden image does and OS installation, invisible to the the naked eye prior to apply the golden image to target system.

SolutionSo they are PA-RISC.
I like to use this document:
http://docs.hp.com/en/6770/golden.images.pdf
It is intended for vPars, but you can ignore the vPar stuff and use it for "plain" systems too.
Another resource is
http://docs.hp.com/en/IUX
Just install 1 system from DVD, configure and make a golden image. Use this image to install the other systems and adjust hostname and IP - that's it.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
