ignite server tape
need to ignite a server to tape on a vpar
and restore it to another vpar . The problem is that both vpars have san assignments. how to i restore to the other vpar without causing serious problems. Can i do it interactively ? If so what are the commands
I have to bring the other vpar to the mon?.
Let me know the procedure?

A tape drive must be configured to each vpar.
There is an option in vparboot to boot a vpar from tape. Read man page.
If vpar2 cannot see the disks from vpar1 then how will it be a problem ? The advanced mode in the ignite installer will allow you to pick what devices you wish to use.
There are many many many references how to do this stuff in the Ignite administration guide. Spend some time reading.
