Ignite-UX archive stored on Windows Server
Has anyone ever tried to store a make_net_recovery archive from an HP-UX server onto a Windows 2000 server? I'm considering a central HP-UX Ignite server that can recover remote HP-UX clients that have a local Windows client onsite. (Remote locations each have 1 HP-UX server and 1 Windows Server).

Re: Ignite-UX archive stored on Windows Server
Hi,
I am afraid this is not possible..atleast not that I am aware of.
I am not aware of any means to tell make_net_recovery which directory to use - it always mounts /var/opt/ignite/recovery/archives in the iux client to store the archive.
Sundar.

Re: Ignite-UX archive stored on Windows Server
Using the windows OS, sorry this is not possible as far as I know. You could attempt to use a NFS mount from windows to a UX box. Ignite was written revolving around using an existing UX server as an archive station to hold images of systems, patches create bootable tapes and golden images.
