Ignite-UX install errors

I am a relatively new HP-UX Sys admin and I am trying to install Ignite-UX-10-20_B.4.1.61_HP-UX_B.11.22_IA+PA.depot on an A-Class server running 10.20. This server is the acting as the terminal for a V-Class server. After the analysis is complete I get this error:
"WARNING: Invalid value defined for the keyword "data_model_revision", at line 3. The value "2.40" is not a supported data model revision. This release of the Software Distributor supports the following values:
2.20 2.10 2.00

The SD product needs to be updated using the instructions in the "Managing HP-UX With SD-UX" manual. Continuing to read the file "/var/tmp/AAAa14786/catalog/INDEX" using the "2.20" data model semantics. New attributes associated with the "2.40" format will be ignored. Unrecognized attributes may result in subsequent ERROR or WARNING messages. If errors result from using the "2.20" semantics, you must update SD to a version that supports the "2.40" "data_model_revision"." along with numerous other errors.

I have patched SD-UX with patch PHCO_20209, but this did not help. Does anyone have nay suggestions?

Re: Ignite-UX install errors

You are trying to install the wrong version of Ignite/UX on this machine. The version you are trying to install (B.4.1.61) is for HP-UX 11.X servers only.

You need to download and install the latest A version, which is A.3.7.95. You can get it here:

Re: Ignite-UX install errors

The fileset you are installing is NOT for an 10.20 Ignite server. It's for an 11.22 Ignite Server which should be able to serve 10.20 clients.

Re: Ignite-UX install errors

Thank you for the help, but a quick question. If the version I was installing was for 11.x then why does the file say Ignite-UX-10-20. Also I could have swore that I choose the os as 10.20 for the install. Anyway, thanks again for the help.

Re: Ignite-UX install errors

It says 10.20 in the name because that particular version can be used as an Ignite/UX server to install HP-UX 10.20, 11.0 and 11i versions. There are other versions that can act as a server only for HP-UX 11.X.

Thank you for all your help. I'm installing the A version right now.
