Our site has a combination of HP 11.00 and 11.11 servers. Currently we are using make_recovery to backup ver 11.00 (we will go to make_tape_recovery when the issues are ironed out) and will be using make_tape_recovery to backup the 11.11 servers.
The 11.11 servers do not have tape drives encouraging our move to an ignite ux server.
Questions arising from this are:
What version OS would the ignite server need to be and are there compatability issues between make_recovery and make_tape_recovery?
I would appreciate any help that can be offered and look forward to awarding points.
Many thanks,
Kathy

SolutionYou will find that each supported version of the operating system has the same features in the ignite product. There does not seem to be any differences between versions.
You can the latest versions from here:
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/download.html
The on-line document can be found here:
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90749/B2355-90749.html
I hope I've understood your question correctly....
Cheers
Michael

Re: Ignite-UX installation server versions
Good luck with the Ignite server, I set ours up almost a year ago and I can't imagine a better recovery/cloning tool and it is FREE!
