Hi Guys,
I'm just wondering what's the command to read the mksysb backup tape in HP-UX..
I have used the following command to perform the mksysb, could you tell me if this is the right command to perform the mksysb backup in order to restore it back.
we are running hp version 10.01 on the old hp9000 server.
The command I have used to perform mksysb is below....
make_tape_recovery -I -a /dev/rmt/3mn -x inc_entire=vg00....
Thanks in advance...
Regards,
Raf

Solution
You can probably read it with tar.
First you have to manually advance the tape past the lif record with the mt commands.
