IGNITE-UX Server Set-up and building iVMs
Fellow HP-UX Admins:
I have been given the task of creating around 20 iVMs on Blade Servers BL-900 Series. I am extremely familiar with Ignite - UX and have been using make_tape_recovery in the past to create a bunch of servers in parallel (mostly PA-RISC). However, I have not used Ignite to create iVMs over the network.
a) Since, these iVMs are going to be booted off of SAN disks, is there an easier way to build several servers using a non-
Ignite mechanism? (I will be able to allocate the EMC VPLEX LUNs myself for this).
b) If Ignite is the easiest way to build servers, can somebody point me to a doc/link that can help me with creating these iVMs using Ignite -UX.
Any help would be most appreciated
-KGD.
