Re: Ignite
It sounds like you installed the 11.0 ONLY version of Ignite. In this case there is no /var/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.10.20 directory installed. Check the filesets of your Ignite product, if you do not see the following filesets you must install the ALL version of Ignite to be able to install 10.20 or 11.11 systems from an 11.00 server:
# swlist -l fileset |grep -i ignite
...truncated....
Ignite-UX.FILE-SRV-10-20 B.3.7.96 File Archives Used By Cli
ents During HP-UX Install
Ignite-UX.FILE-SRV-11-00 B.3.7.96 File Archives Used By Cli
ents During HP-UX Install
Ignite-UX.FILE-SRV-11-11 B.3.7.96 File Archives Used By Cli
ents During HP-UX Install
....truncated....
The hardware the ignite server software is installed on is irrelevant to the type of installation you can perform. So there should be no problem installing from B-class workstation to 712.

Re: Ignite
The problem is while creating an SD Depot wher i use the "use a CDROM "option and it throws me an error
"/opt/ignite/bin/make_config-c /var/opt/ignite/data/rel_B.10.20/core_700_cfg -s /iuxcdrom0 -a failed "
iuxcdrom0 is mount point of cdrom.
i tried Installing Ignite-Ux for 10.01.10.20& 11 and is ther some thing to check in the core_700_cfg file "
Thanks

Re: Ignite
Well your original error says the file does not exist:
" The Directory for file
/var/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.10.20/core_700.cfg specified -c does not exist"
Doe sit exist? What are the permissions on it? Check your syntax is correct?
You need to post the output from:
# swlist -l fileset |grep -i ignite
So I can see what version of Ignite and which filesets you have.
Please check this procedure to make sure that you have setup Ignite correctly:

Re: Ignite
Use the Application CD to install the 10.20 version of ignite, and it will work. Those Dirs are set up when you install the ignite Software/VERSION on your system (I Think it is on App CD 1 of 4) but may be mistaken.
Good Luck,
(Do what Martin said and you will be OK)

Re: Ignite
The Problem was that the "var/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.10.20/core_700.cfg specified " File Does'nt had a Execute Permission.
Finally I cud create SD Depot after Ganting the Execute Permsiion for Group.
Thankx For The Splendid Support and Guidance
Good Luck Asif
