I have this when creating an IGNITE Backup...
#make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn
The scenario is that I have a mirrored "vg00".
My question is, will my IGNITE backup require me to have 2 disks when I restore from my IGNITE backup?
Just in case there are documents that discusses about this matter... it will be of great help to have them posted here...
best regards...

SolutionIt will add the other disk (if present) into vg00 configuration if you do not pay attention. However, since you are making this image with interactive option, you can remove (by marking the other disk as NONE, in the group options of the interactive recovery session)the disk and make sure only one disk is selected.

Re: IGNITE
I know a number of folks who use it when they are switching to bigger or different disk, or want to expand the /var filesystem which normally requires single user mode.
All you do is boot off the tape, intervene at the 10 second prompt.
sea
bo p# with # being the P number of the sequential(tape) device.
N to the prompt about interacting with the IPL
Ignite will give you a chance to intervene and change the setup. Then it looks just like an HP-UX install window, easy to do lots of improvements on your system right then and there.
Good luck.

Re: IGNITE
I dont have a test server where I test restoring my IGNITE backup and see if everything goes well.
Like in my previous inquiries you guys always lead me to right directions... plus the fact that you're all wearing your respective huts..
Michael thanks for the document...
