During installation you can adjust server name, IP address, etc.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Igniting a new server with Image from different server.
As noted, this works with similar hardware.
I suggest that you use a current version of Ignite, although keeping previous versions available for temporary re-installation has served me well when trying to squeeze the last use out of old hardware.
Build an Ignite tape with:
# /make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn
When you boot from this tape, you will be prompted for an installation. Choose an "Advanced Installation". Be sure to set:
> CLONING TO DIFFERENT HARDWARE? TRUE.
> IMPORT VOLUME GROUPS? FALSE.
> ALLOW USE OF OTHER DISKS? YES.
I prefer to configure the system parameters by choosing "ASK AT FIRST BOOT?" too.
Regards!

Re: Igniting a new server with Image from different server.
Glden image is very much recommended.
Still, Since it is a similar model, you could also use make_net_recovery archives of similar other server also.
Best Regards,
Ramesh
