HPUX11.i. This lvol is mirrored.
When i extend it with SAM is my mirror also
extended ? OR do i have to extend it outside SAM with lvextend -m 1 ?

SolutionYes, doing this through SAM will extend the mirror as well. You can do it manually with lvextend, but you would not use the "-m 1" syntax as that is used to add a mirror. The syntax would be "lvextend -L NNN /dev/vgNN/lvolN", where NNN represents the new size in MB, NN the vg number, and N the lvol number.

Yes, an 'lvextend' of a logical volume affects all mirror copies. Remember that SAM simply leverages standard commands.

Use SAM or
# lvextend -L
If there is a filesystem involved you need to to unmount it if you don't have onlineJFS. If you do, simply:
# fsadm -F vxfs -b
