Increase user id length with Trusted Host

Hi All,

I have a problem, my systems are running 10.2 and 11. I've converted them to trusted host and now I can't create user ids longer than 8 characters.

I would like to know if there is some way I could increase the allowed user id name length or if I'm stuck with 8.

Hi Anthony,

Just to reinforce the message that is in those links - you can have long user ids but it's not a very good idea as it will break a number of commands. If you need the user ids for email then there are methods you can use that won't require you to have the long ids.
