Increasing /home on my other server

This is a continuation of the below thread

http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1280182

I thought I will create a new thread as this is for a different server.. And so this will not confuse you from the other thread..

Here I have a disk of 145 GB of which 15 Gb is left free and I wanted 10Gb of this for the /home.

Re: Increasing /home on my other server

Hi:

If the disk in question is the one represented by the posted 'vgdisplay' then you only have 320 MB of free space:

PE Size * Free PE = 32MB * 10 = 320MB

I suggest you read:

http://www.docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90950/ch06.html

Regards!

Re: Increasing /home on my other server

You dont have enough space in VG00. You need to add another disk in VG00 for your need.

vgextend vg00 diskname

Thanks
