SolutionDue to the contigous allocation policy ,create a bigger LV and modifiey BDRA to make it primary
Follow the steps
1. #lvcreate -C y -L 500 /dev/vg00
notedown the name of the newly created LV
2. #lvnboot -v /dev/vg00
will display the current root and swap volumes
3. #lvnboot -s /dev/vg00/
4. #lvnboot -R /dev/vg00
This will recover any missing links to all of the logical volumes specified in the BDRA and update the BDRA of each bootable PV in the Volume group
5.reboot
regards

Re: Increasing the primary swap spce
There isn't any need to increase the primary swap. Create 'secondary swap' logical volume and add it. Make the priority 0.
lvcreate -n swap2 -L -C y -r N /dev/vgxx
(Do not run 'newfs' here)
Add the following line to your /etc/fstab and run the command 'swapon -a'
/dev/vgxx/swap2 / swap defaults pri=0 0

Re: Increasing the primary swap spce
I quite agree with Sridhar Bhaskarla.
No need increase primary swap space. just create the second space.
Follow him command to create.
Goodluck to you.

Re: Increasing the primary swap spce
You can try increasing the secondary swap only.
U can use this
#lvcreate -n swap2 -L -C y -r N /dev/vgxx
