Re: Incremental using fbackup
The best advice I can give without an extremely long message is to read the man page for fbackup.
man fbackup
The description describes graph files and how incrementals work and what the numbers mean and things of that sort.
If you havea more specific question I will be happy to answer in a more precise way.

SolutionHi Rajesh!
Level zero (0) is predefined to mean "the begining of time" by the fbackup command. If invoked without a backup level option, fbackup performs a level 0 backup that results in a full backup.
Levels 1- 9 are used for incremental backups. Each time fbackup is invoked with a backup level option, fbackup makes copies of files that have been changed since the last time a backup was made at a lower level.
ie. Suppose fbackup is run at level 0 on Monday, level 1 on Tuesday, and level 2 on Wednesday. A fullbackup is done on Monday, an incremental backup of the files that had changed since Monday wouldbe made on Tuesday, and an incremental backup of files that had changed since Tuesday would be made on Wednesday.
Futhermore, if you ran a level 2 backup on Thursday it would make an incremental backup of the files that had changed since tuesday. A level three backup on Thursday would only back up the files that had been modified since Wednesday.
I hope this helps and I haven't confused you. :-)

Re: Incremental using fbackup
Hi Rajesh,
In your specific case it would do a full on Sunday and incremental on all other days with respect to Sunday's full backup.
e.g. on Thurs it will backup any files that have changed since Sunday -- the full backup day.
Try it out on a small directory

Keep it simple
