info regarding JBOSS or J2EE replace 9iAS?
I just need to clear the mud.
Can JBOSS or J2EE be used to replace an Oracle Application server?
Right now we have a application server 9iAS, web server and database server.
So if the app is migrated to J2EE or JBOSS (which is the open source of J2EE??) then the use of the application server 9iAS or 10G would not be necessary?
Our vendor has mentioned that the app has plans of converting to J2EE or JBOSS.
