information on Samba
on my network I have an hp-ux workstation (hp180l) with a DLT tape.
I need to backup some files and directory
into DLT from an Windows NT System.
Is possibile with Samba?
Samba work correctly with hp-ux 10.20?
If Samba don't work with hp-ux 10.20 how can I share DLT tape with Windows NT?

Re: information on Samba
You need to understand that you most likely will have to restore those Windoze files using samba.
If you don't want to mess with samba, use NFS.

Re: information on Samba
Samba will WORK with HP-UX 10.20 and you will be able to tabke windows NT backup.
NFS will be efficient than the samba setup.

Re: information on Samba
Samba is working with HP-UX 10.20.
HP product is CIFS/9000 which is in fact samba.
You have to isntall CIFS client.
I have it running on my B180L to share files with W'XP.
Hope this helps,
