Informix on HP-UX 11.11

The application is currently run on 11.00 and it needs to be migrated to 11.11. The application uses informix and wanted to see if these libraries are available in 11.11 also

Hi, looks like /lib/esql/libecob_mf2.sl is suppiled by cobol and would like to know if its available on 11.11 :)

I would guess that it is part of an Informix cobol package and, as long as you have that piece of Informix, you should be all set. We don't use cobol so I can't tell for sure.

Like most database programs, the manufacturer (IBM for Informix) will supply all necessary libraries and support files. So these Informix-specific file won't be present until Informix is installed. Naturally, the version of Informix you are using must be supported on the version of HP-UX you are using. Check with IBM on database and OS version compatibility.

You will need to do an Informix upgrade depending on your version.

I know little about Informix, but my wise and learned boss does. The process is install the binarys migrate in the configuration files and start the database.

The data is automatically migrated.
