Well, that might depend on what kind of help you're looking for. We run Informix and I'm passingly familiar with it, but detailed knowledge is the province of my DBA.

Hi,
I want to know is there any script for
uninstalling informix from HP-UX
and oninit -i fails with error
FATAL error shared memory cannot be
initialized

Hey can both of us write a depot to

I suppose it's possible to adapt Informix's unique installation methodology to Software Distributor format, but I'm not sure it would be worth the effort, at least to me. We just don't do installs often enough to justify the time it would take.

Your "shared memory could not be initialized" error is pretty generic and could be caused by any number of things. Check that your engine is correctly identified in sqlhosts (/opt/informix/etc/sqlhosts) and your onconfig file (also in /opt/informix/etc) and that $INFORMIXSERVER is also set properly.
