Install HP-UX 11.0

Hi,

I'm trying to install HP-UX 11.0, in a system with 11.11. What can I do?, I have tried to boot from cdrom, but it doesn't respond me ( > bo p2, where p2 is the cdrom)....
Now I am trying to do
swintall -s
/cdrom/UXCoreMedia allow_downdate = true

Is this correct?
What can I do?

Thanks!

Re: Install HP-UX 11.0

Hi,

When you get to the prompt, do a 'sea' command to search for devices. When you see the CD-ROM device, try doing the boot command with the actual hardware address listed instead of the 'p2' designation.

Re: Install HP-UX 11.0

Hi,

You will need to a cold-install to downgrade from 11.11 to 11.0.

As mentioned, do a "sea" and find out the CD-ROM and then boot through it. If it does not work, try another CD.

Re: Install HP-UX 11.0

as mentioned do a search for bootable paths. If the cd does not boot the you have a bad copy, try another one.
To go from 11.11 to 11.0 you will have to do a clean install. This means you will lose every thing on your old set-up. Be sure to do a backup if you have data to keep.
