Re: Install HPUX 11i V3 on a VM guest machine
the current version of HP Integrity Virtual Machines is version 2.
This version runs only on 11.23 with 11.23 guests or windows server 2003 guests - according to the documentation.
For 11.31 support you'll need to wait for the next version.
This is the information I found here in several other threads - so please stand by.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Install HPUX 11i V3 on a VM guest machine
I do not believe that is possible at this time. You might need a host machine running 11i v3 to run a guest. I'm uncertain as to what vm support for 11i v3 is released at this time.
Obviously I have not tried it.

Re: Install HPUX 11i V3 on a VM guest machine
We have HPVM running on a HPUX 11i V2 Host.
Virtual Machines 2.0 currently supports HP-UX 11i v2 and Windows Server 2003 guests.

Re: Install HPUX 11i V3 on a VM guest machine
It is correct that 11.31 (11iv3) guests aren't officially supported until HPVM 3.0. HPVM 3.0 is due to be available to customers by June. It is in beta now. HPVM 3.0 will also support RedHat 4U4 guests.
The other question people are asking is: when will HPVM run on 11iv3 hosts? Our current plan is to support it late in 2008.
