Install Open Office on HP-UX (to create PDF files)
Somebody has some experience of how to deploy OOo (OpenOffice) in a HP-UX in service mode?
I would like to convert MS Office files (*.doc, *.ppt, *.xls, *.rtf ), *.html, OpenDocument format, etc.. to PDF and for that I am using OOo as service, for example:
soffice -headless -accept="socket,port=8100;urp;"
All the commentaries are welcome
Thanks a lot!

Re: Install Open Office on HP-UX (to create PDF files)
You will need to compile the source.
http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.1/source.html
I'm quite interested to hear if anybody gets this working in HP-UX

http://porting.openoffice.org/servlets/BrowseList?list=dev&by=thread&from=181648
They say that there are some troubles about compilation.
Any comments?

Re: Install Open Office on HP-UX (to create PDF files)
"There is a cerain demand for doing a port e.g. for HP/UX. AIX, OS/2 etc.
At the moment there are no efforts visible for such a port. Create one ! "
http://porting.openoffice.org/
Do it!
;-)
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
