INSTALL PCI Card Lan in B132L HP-UX 11.00

Can I manage two networks with a HP B132L?
-> Card Lan integreted and Card lan PCI added
So 2 card in my HP.

sure you can have multiple NICs, guess you want the B5509 100BaseT PCI card.

Hi,

Sure, use lanscan to check out what the interface is (lan1)
you can use ifconfig lan1
add the device in /etc/rc.config.d/netconf
( mind to increase the numbers )

If you go for the B5509, you will have to add the btlan5 driver to the kernel, then check ioscan -fnClan to see the card CLAIMED.

After that you can configure manually or via SAM.

Hello Arnaud,
From the application cd rom (the first), install the drivers for this card.

The ioscan output does not list the driver it is looking for.

Why can't I read the folders in First CDROM ?

My /cdrom/B5509BA/ is empty

The driver is common to several different cards. swinstall will find the real software location when you try to install it. Don't worry about it.
