Install sudo-no depot created
HI all I plan to install sudo on hpux11.11
So I download vsudo version 1.6.8p9
When I extract the zip file a sudo folder was created. Where is the depot file to be installed in Unix environment.
pls help

If you downloaded this from software.hp.com and opened the file from a pc using software like winzip. The file download from HP is a "depot" file, or tarball which could be extracted but should'nt be.
Instead copy the downloaded file to the hp-ux node. Use swlist to see the depot contents and swinstall to install the product.
swlist -l product -s /tmp/ixSudo.depot
swinstall -s /tmp/ixSudo.depot \*
If you didn't obtain the sudo depot from hp, you can find it here.

Search for sudo
Note that this version of sudo, certified and ported by HP has its config file(sudoers) in /opt filesystem, not /etc like the other distributions.
