Installation Failed

I try to install a DP in a HP-UX server, i got this error from Data Protector:

using the "swacl" command or see your system administrator for
assistance. Or, to manage applications designed and packaged

target (default location is tgt20:/var/adm/sw/swagentd.log).
Data Protector Software package installation failed

But i do not know how to change these permissions, Any help please...!!!

exit out of swinstall gui completely
kill swagentd and restart it with the following command:

swagentd -r

if exists, remove file:
/var/adm/sw/products/swlock

relaunch your swinstall session and see if it goes smoother this time.

hi,

probably need to restart swagentd:

# /sbin/init.d/swagentd stop
# /sbin/init.d/swagentd start

then try swinstall again.
