Installation history

One of the products that I installed has garbled some directory permissions on my HP UX 11.31 machine.
I would like to know if there are any commands or utility that I can run to see what all products that has been installed on this machine.
I just know the history command as I am a Unix newbie.
I am the root user on this machine.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Installation history

You can check with swlist - http://docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90681/swlist.1M.html

For example:
#swlist product_name

Re: Installation history

Thanks Ivan.

I have tried swlist to see the list of products but I was looking for a command / utility which can tell me the products that have been installed after OE.

swlist lists down all the products and it isn't of much use to me as I know that the default set has not garbled the directory permissions.

Re: Installation history

Check install_date of the products:

# swlist -a install_date

and sort it to check what was installed after OE.

Re: Installation history

You can use "swverify \*" to check ownership and permissions. Add -F to fix them.
