Installation of HP UX 11iV3 VSOE
Kindly let me know how to install HP UX 11iV3 VSOE in Itanium vpar environment using DVD. I m using Vpar version A.04.06 in my current environment.
Using vparmodify DVD as bootalias is not supportable.
Let me know what is is procedure for booting vpar using DVD ROM.

1-) You need to shutdown all your vpars, and boot into npar mode then install your 11iv3 and vpar software
2-) Boot from A.05.x vpmon
3-)As far as i know you need to recreate your (You cant use old vpdb) old vpars from scratch, and boot them.

I would also swcopy the DVD to an Ignite install point on rw shared NFS is a good place to do it.
Once the Ignite server is set up on the same subnet you can boot any compatible system off of it.

Thankx for reply, I need to try by booting in Npar mode and boot using dvd.
I have ignite server in place, but due to space constraint i can not use this server.
Will let u know all after trying Npar mode booting and installation status.
