Can I upgrade from HPUX11i-OE to HPUX11i-OE-MC with out reinstall? If this operation is possible, what can I do?

Thanks for your helps??

Re: Installation question

You can just install the individual components that make up the MC environment: Service Guard, Workload Manager, etc.

It's the only way?

Re: Installation question

Well, you can reinstall everything if you'd rather, but I thought you were trying to avoid that.

Re: Installation question

Hi Filo,

Pete's method will work IF you have the codewords for all those products.
Else, you'd have to cold install a licensed OE MC from CD to get the functionality w/o the codewords.

Re: Installation question

AS always before adding any component or patch, make sure that you create at least one ignite tape. Here is an example:

# /opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn
