installation step of HP-UX on Itanium

Hello,
Im using Itanium RX 2620 and i need to installed HP-UX OS on it so need the steps so that i can install HP-UX on itanium server, I have Itanium HP-UX OS CD but need steps how to install HP-UX on itanium as one thing more i dont have a graphic card in the server so should i use dump terminal for installing the OS...kindly help me in this regards to ill be thankful..

Shalom Muhammad,

You don't need a graphics card.

1) Make sure firmware is up to date prior to installation.
2) Most Itanium servers have a GSP/MP card that you can use as a console for installation. Otherwise hang a serial terminal off the console port or use hyperterminal or procomm to connect to console.
3) Stick DVD Core OS in the CD/DVD drive.
4) Boot/power box.
5) Intervene when prompted.
6) Choose menu item to boot off DVD/CD
7) Follow instructions on the Ignite Interface.
