Installing EMS A.030.20.01
I am trying to install the latest EMS on 11.0 and get errors when I run
swcopy -s /B7609BA_11.11.depot B7609BA @ /var/spool/sw (see attached)
It say parts are missing. Do I need pathces or what. I am new at this type of install.

Re: Installing EMS A.030.20.01
Hi Paul,
Couple of things, to install the software you would be using "swinstall" and not swcopy.
Secondly, You said the machine is running 11.0, but the depot seems to be 11.11 (11i) depot unless it was named incorrectly.
In any case to install the software
swinstall -s /path/to/depot
-HTH

Re: Installing EMS A.030.20.01
You're installing the 11.11 version (A.03.20.01) of B7609BA on a 11.00 system.
You would want to install the 11.00 version (A.03.20) on HP-UX 11.00.

Re: Installing EMS A.030.20.01
Oh, yeah.
And, you were just *copy*ing the software into the depot "/var/spool/sw".
To actually install it on the system:
swinstall -s /B7609BA_11.00.depot B7609BA
.
