installing HID's patch & errors
Hi all,
I got some responses to my previous message and I appreciate them. I am not sure how to continue with the same message so am logging a new one. When I run the full command, it gives errors that it there is no such depot. When I look at the swagentd.log file, it shows the pre-req patches it shows errors for either.....could not be opened or no such depot or does not look like a tar.
I am not sure how to troubleshoot this. Here I telnet into the unix machine and then when I run the explict command with the -x and -s and the '\*' at the end it gives these errors.
We do not have a xterm here for me to go through the GUI(SAM). Please help. Thankyou.
Ciao,
Jazz

Re: installing HID's patch & errors
Shalom Jazz,
Sam works on the command line with ssh or telnet connection.
If you must use sam its always available to you except for single user and lvm maintenance mode.

Does anyone have any clue on it. I have attatched a few lines of the messages. Thankyou.

Re: installing HID's patch & errors
hello jazz,
you need to get the hostname resolved for the ip address 10.5.5.210
use nslookup to help you diagnose this.
The easiest way is put and entry in the /etc/hosts file and make sure that /etc/nsswitch.conf has files as the first entry once you have finished patching you can set it back to DNS .
