Installing HP-UX 11.0 to boot from Fibre Channel RAID

Hi All,

I am haveing a problem installing HP-UX 11.0 on a fibre channel raid drive. The installation fails when trying to configure the swap logical volume. The error message I get is:

lvlnboot: Unable to configure swap logical volume.
Swap logical volume size beyond the IODC max address

Any thoughts on what to look for?

Thanks
Tom

SOme additional information I forgot to put in my initial message:

The system is a Visualize J7000. I have the RAID connect using a A5158A fibre channel adapter.

1) Reboot so that the J-Class platform will
run through its self-tests. If autoboot is
set, then hit and hold any key to override
when prompted, which causes you to enter the menu
mode (this assumes secure mode is not set).
The following prompt should appear:

Command:

2) Use the path command at this prompt to record
the path information. Example output is as follows:

Primary boot path = 0/0/0.6.0
Console path = 15/1
Keyboard path = 15/1

3) To enable ALL available PCI slots and make them Fcode
enabled and reset the system, do the following:

a) At the Command prompt, type DE

b) At the Command prompt, type reset.

4) After resetting the system, you may have to change the
primary boot path to correspond to the path of the root
disk.

5) Swap can be enabled with the following:

lvlnboot -s /dev/vg00/lvol2

Check for your firmware version on the server, it may need updating.
