Installing HP ux 11.20 on hp cr4610 server
Hi ,
I am facing a problem in reinstalling HP ux 11.20 on hp cr4610 server .
Selected EFI Shell (Built In)from the boot menu.
map command shows
fs1 : Acpi (PNP0A03),0)/Pci(3|1)/Ata(Secondary,Master)/CDROM(Entry1) for dvdrom
enabled edd30 on
If i run ..
fs1:\install
It is giving following errors.
'fs1:\install' not found
Exit status code : Invalid parameter
How can i resolve this?
Could you please regarding this ?
Thanks
Shashikiran

Re: Installing HP ux 11.20 on hp cr4610 server
You may want to take a read of the manuals at
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/os/11iV1.5/index.html#Installing
particularly Read Before Installing HP-UX 11.i version 1.55 at
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/pdf/B9106-90014.pdf
Chapter 2 might have some intersting info.
and the Installion and Configuration Guide at
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/pdf/B9106-90001.pdf

Have you done an ls on the top-level of fs1: to see that there is indeed an "install" command there?
cd fs1:\
ls
cd fs1:\
ls
there is no rest for the wicked yet the virtuous have no pillows

Re: Installing HP ux 11.20 on hp cr4610 server
I'm not familiar with the CR series of servers. As far as I know HP-UX is only supported on the rx series of Itanium servers and zx series of Itanium workstations.
http://www.hp.com/products1/servers/integrity/index.html
http://www.hp.com/workstations/itanium/index.html
Anyway, when installing HP-UX, you would boot from the CD and the installation would be invoked automatically. There is no "install" command.
